This evening, LAFD was dispatched to I83 south for bus brakes on fire. Engines 1& 3 arrived on scene and found a tour bus that had been evacuated. The brakes were found to be hot and burning. The driver of the bus had dumped an ABC extinguisher prior to FD arrival. Engine 3-12 pulled a booster line and cooled the braking area. An additional tour bus was requested by the company to pick up the stranded tourists. Company 12 returned available.
