This evening, LAFD was dispatched to set up a landing zone on Ritter Rd for Life Lion. Chief 2-12 was advised that the LZ is for a Harrisburg City Police dog who had been shot and is being transported to the Animal Emergency Center. Engines 1 & 3 arrived on scene and established the LZ across the street from the Emergency Center in an open field. Once Life Lion landed, LAFD transported the K9 directly into the facility where care was continued.
Upon clearing the scene, Zeke was said to be doing well and will survive. Our thoughts and prayers are with Zeke, his partner, and his Department. Again, a big thank you to the Animal Emergency Center for their services!!
